Image machine #13 is loosely inspired on the Nipkow disk. Which creates images by a modulated light that is placed behind a turning disk with holes in it. From experimenting with different setups I got fascinated fluctuations in the depth of the image. This was most apparent in a drum version when running it at increasingly high speeds. The effect that is created plays with the perception of where the image is, creating images that were not flat anymore and that give the sense of getting sucked into the machine.
